Primitive Future (Den Bosch 🇳🇱)
Primitive Future is the pre- & post-apocalyptic scenario I imagined for this exhibition: a primitive man finds something underground, objects from a past that never existed, soaked in symbols and signs that remind us of a chaotic and overmeaningfull present that we live in, all set in a future scenario that will never exist.
In the installation and performance for the graduation show “Hope This Email Finds You Well,” I have crafted a space filled with Hyperstitional Objects that I have uncovered. This project serves as an Archaeology of the Future, where I take on the role of the archaeologist, and the Future is represented by the objects retrieved from a distorted and violent Past. Carved into the wall are ancient letters and phrases from unfamiliar realms, whose meaning resonates with absurdity and transparency.
